Privacy Policy

YourSEOManager is a trading name of ZERRA GROUP LTD (company number 16621019). YourSEOManager is the platform that is home to Alex, your AI SEO employee. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “the platform” refer to ZERRA GROUP LTD, trading as YourSEOManager, and “Alex” refers to the AI SEO employee that works within the platform on your behalf.

Our registered office is Office 8360, 321-323 High Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex, Romford, United Kingdom, RM6 6AX. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZB950374. We are the controller of the personal information you provide to us.

Account information. When you register, we collect your name and email address so we can create and manage your account and contact you about the service.

Business information. You may tell us about your business — for example its name, website, industry and service areas — so Alex can tailor recommendations to what you do and where you operate.

Data from connected services. If you choose to connect services such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile or WordPress, Alex can read the data those services make available within the permissions you grant. We only access what those permissions allow and never more.

Content and activity. We store the content Alex prepares for you, your approvals and decisions, and records of activity so Alex can learn, explain reasoning and report back to you.

Usage information. We collect basic technical and usage information, such as how you interact with the platform, to keep it secure, reliable and improving.

Alex uses the information above to:

• analyse data from connected services to understand your search performance and visibility;
• prepare recommendations and explain the reasoning behind them;
• draft work such as pages, posts and replies for your review;
• measure the outcomes of work that has been published, where the relevant data is available; and
• remember your preferences and past decisions so Alex can work more like a consistent employee over time.

Where this is necessary to provide the services you have requested, we rely on the performance of our contract with you as the lawful basis. Where we process information to operate, secure and improve the platform in ways that are not strictly necessary to deliver a requested service, we rely on our legitimate interests. Where consent is legally required for a specific activity, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Connecting a service is always your choice. When you connect a service you grant access limited to the permissions you authorise. We access only the data those permissions allow and only for the purposes described in this policy. The permissions we request for Google services are read-only.

You can disconnect any service at any time from your integrations settings. Disconnecting stops Alex from reading further data from that service, although data we have already lawfully collected and stored remains subject to this policy, as explained below.

If you choose to, you can connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 to Alex. These connections are used to provide the SEO analysis, performance measurement, opportunities, recommendations, reporting and related Alex features you have requested.

The Google API permissions used for these integrations are read-only. The current scopes are:

• Search Console: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly
• Google Analytics 4: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly

The email address associated with your Google account may also be accessed for account and connection identification only.

When Search Console is connected, Alex can access and process the following information on your behalf: the website properties available to your account and their permission information; search queries; pages; clicks; impressions; click-through rate; average search position; countries; devices; search appearance information; query and page performance combinations; and the period and comparison information associated with those metrics. Alex does not have write access to Search Console through these permissions.

When Google Analytics 4 is connected, Alex can access and process the following information: the Analytics accounts and properties available to your account; the property you select; data-stream information; users; new users; sessions; engaged sessions; engagement rate and engagement time; page views; landing-page performance; traffic sources; channels; devices; countries; events; key events and conversions; revenue metrics where those metrics exist in the connected property; and the period and comparison information associated with those metrics. Alex does not have write access to Google Analytics 4 through these permissions.

Connected Google data may be used to:

• analyse SEO and search performance;
• establish performance baselines;
• identify opportunities;
• prioritise recommendations;
• generate Alex insights;
• prepare Morning Briefs;
• generate reports;
• measure performance changes over time;
• generate predictions and recommendations; and
• support other SEO-analysis functionality you have requested.

Google-derived performance data is not necessarily transient. Alex stores relevant Google-derived snapshots and the derived SEO information built from them in your Alex workspace so that performance can be compared over time and so that recommendations and reports can be produced. That data is associated with the relevant business or workspace.

We do not apply a fixed retention period to this stored data. Relevant stored data may remain after a Google connection is disconnected and can be retained as part of your historical SEO and performance record until deletion is requested or the data or account is otherwise removed in accordance with our retention and deletion process. Disconnecting a Google service does not automatically erase historical snapshots or derived historical information.

Relevant Google-derived performance data may be processed by the AI services used to power Alex where necessary to provide the functionality you have requested, such as analysis, recommendations, opportunities, reports, summaries, predictions and insights. The current implementation uses Base44’s AI infrastructure for this processing.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not sell Google user data, we do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not share Google-derived customer data with other Alex customers.

Google-derived data may be processed by our service providers and subprocessors where necessary to operate Alex and provide the functionality you have requested, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards. We do not claim that Google data is never transferred to any service provider, because AI processing and other platform services are part of the actual architecture.

Google OAuth credentials and tokens are managed through Alex’s platform connector and authentication infrastructure. Alex does not store raw Google OAuth access or refresh tokens in its own normal customer-data entities. You can revoke a connection at any time, which stops Alex from using that active connection for further reads.

You can disconnect Search Console or Google Analytics 4 at any time from your integrations settings. Disconnecting stops Alex from using that active Google connection for future reads. Previously stored Google-derived snapshots and derived historical information are not automatically erased merely by disconnecting, as explained above. You can request deletion of stored Google-derived data by contacting us at support@hirealexseo.com.

Nothing Alex prepares is published without your approval unless you explicitly enable an authorised automation mode. By default, the platform operates in a suggestions-only mode where Alex prepares work and waits for your decision.

If you choose an assisted or autopilot mode, Alex may carry out only the specific types of action you enable, and only within the limits you set. You can change or pause automation at any time, and approval-gated behaviour remains the default.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the platform — for example with hosting providers, AI processing services that power Alex, and email delivery for account and support messages. Each processor is engaged only to provide the service we have asked them to provide and is bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others.

You can delete individual pieces of content Alex has prepared. You can disconnect any connected service at any time. You can request closure of your account by contacting us at support@hirealexseo.com. Following an account-closure request, we will stop using your information for the platform and delete or anonymise it in line with this policy, except where we are required to retain records for legal, accounting or security purposes.

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict its processing, to object to its processing, to receive it in a structured, portable format, and to withdraw consent where we rely on consent. You can exercise any of these rights by contacting us at the email address below and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you believe your data-protection rights have been infringed, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure connections. No system is completely secure, so we also limit the data we collect and the permissions we use, and we encourage you to use strong credentials for your account and connected services.

Search rankings and business results depend on many factors outside our control, including search engine algorithms, competitor activity and your own market. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic, leads or business outcome.

You are responsible for approving content before it is published (or for enabling an automation mode knowingly), for the access permissions you grant to connected services, and for ensuring your use of the platform and any connected data complies with applicable law and the rights of third parties.

YourSEOManager is not intended for children. The platform is provided for businesses and individuals aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Alex and some of our service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use appropriate safeguards to help protect your information in line with UK data protection law.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes we will update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you within the platform or by email.

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
